    Hi there,

Since I updated my X Theme version, neither the video I have playing behind my revolution slider or a video in a “video player” element will show or play. The video in the “video player” element wont show the video or image I select to show over the video before its played but rather a white box with a thin grey line towards the top.

When I refresh the page it flashes the correct image over the video box, but then quickly reverts to the white box with a thing grey strip towards the top. It also messed up the short code I created for an email capture element.

    My credentials are as follow:

    URL: http://www.SocialInvincibility.com
    WordPress Version: 4.3
    Theme Version: 4.1.0
    Shortcode plugin version: 3.0.5

    Thanks much! Troy

    Hello Troy,

    Thanks for posting.
Please deactivate X shortcode plugin. It’s functionality is now integrated into Cornerstone and then please try resaving your revolution slider.

Also, I have another web page that I use the X Theme on which is set up very similarly to my social invincibility page. It is as follows:

    http://www.CharismaMatrix.com

You can see the video behind the slider works fine. I confirmed that the settings are identical, but the only difference is that I haven’t updated cornerstone on it.

    Thanks, Troy

    Hi Troy,

I did replicate the slider and the video player on my end (all updated), and both video works. Would you mind doing a test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If this doesn’t solve the issue, please re-install the Revolution Slider.

Let us know how it goes, Thanks!

    Thank you.

It is my OptimizePress Plugin that is causing the problem. However, I still don’t know how to resolve it.

They say you can install optimize press on a sub domain but I have no idea how to do so and don’t want to take the time to learn! I know this may be a little out of your specialty but do you have any ideas on workarounds? I only use the plugin on the web pages associated with my product, not the landing pages or content pages.

    Thanks! Troy

    Hi Troy,

Thanks for updating the thread! Regretfully, we’re not able to support 3rd Party Plugins or scripts as that is beyond our scope. Thank you for understanding.

Having said that, you mentioned installing OptimizePress Plugin on a sub-domain and only using it on pages associated with your product. All a subdomain is is like separate directory, similar to a folder except is has a different URL.

    Example:

    Main domain: http://www.yoursite.com
    Sub-domain: yourchosensubdomainname.yoursite.com
    Folder: http://www.yoursite.com/youfoldername

Note: The folder example above is similar to a link to a page, and it is essentially the same. It just depends on what is found on that link. It could be a folder with another site in it and that in turn turns into a site link.

What is meant about installing OP on a subdomain is doing something like installing another WordPress site and running OP on that. On your main site running X theme you can just link to your othersite running OptimizePress using a custom link in the menu manager.

    Example:

    Main X site: wwww.yoursiteURL.com/
    OP subdomain site: products.yousiteURL.com/product-page

Links on your main X site regarding your product will now point the subdomain.

You can search youtube for tutorials like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fN8f8U-Fpiw to assist you further if you don’t want to engage a dev to help you out.

Sorry we’re not able to support further in this area, hope this helps – thanks and have a great day!
