Hello, I started my website using the X them yesterday so I have the latest, theme, wordpress, and revolution slider. Here is my site address. http://www.backcountrywarriors.com
The video is on the weather cam page.
Like the topic title says. I have a simple mp4 video that is uploading to my site every 24 hours from a webcam at my lodge. In one second I can get Flowplayer to work and play the video just perfectly, but after hours of fighting with the native video player element to the theme there is no joy. And of course if I want to update the page using cornerstone that the weather cam is on I lose my flow player. As a footnote, flowplayer was a last result as I could not get the video player element in the theme to work so its not a conflict with Flowplayer. Any help or work around would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance@Kevin

It works on my end, would you mind providing a screen recording of what you’re getting? What OS, browser, and versions.
Thanks!
February 26, 2016 at 7:52 pm #814217OK, super confused. As it is now it works ONLY because I am using a plugin called Flowplayer. It is not the native video player element to the X theme and cornerstone. The problem is that I can do no updates to the page without losing flow player as Cornerstone cancels out anything that is not updated through it. In this screenshot I am attaching it show the “Flow Player” text only as a reference to where I install the Flowplayer plugin without Cornerstone. Using the video player plugin nothing happens. And I mean on IE, Chrome, Edge, the whole gamut. Not one browser will play the video with the native player. All I get is a blank white screen as shown in the screenshot.
February 27, 2016 at 2:39 pm #814920Hi there,
Ah, it’s because you’re setting your MP4 URL as poster image. That’s why video element displays just a white box.
And you video won’t play unless your browser is finished downloading it. Your site doesn’t have support for video stream. That’s why browser download it first before it plays. You can check that loading this page http://www.backcountrywarriors.com/weather-cam/ and wait fo couple of minutes. You’ll see it will play, but sometimes not. Your site has no full support for streaming.
I created a sample here, a mp4 file that hosted from a different site and it works.

Please note that I had to disable your Flowplayer, as it the one that causes the malfunction of WordPress’s player.
Thanks.
February 28, 2016 at 11:45 am #815752The mp4 in question is not streaming. Again, it is a simple video file uploaded and stored on the site. If you go to the media files in the dashboard you will see it listed there as BW Time Lapse. Every 24 hours this file is swapped out by another of the same name. I have done this on multiple websites and it works perfectly with the striking theme and others. On other sites I use flow player as the plugin to play the file. And for the record it makes no difference if I use the URL or link straight to the file. In two seconds I can have flow player working to play that file for people two watch a 24 hour time lapse from this site. But nothing I do with your native video player element works. Period. And what’s even more frustrating is I am more than happy to use flowplayer to play the file but of course cornerstone deletes it every time I make a change to the page. Here is a link to another site I built that does exactly what its supposed to. Again, this is not streaming. It is a simple small file that updates every 24 hours. We need a solution here as now I am getting very frustrated. http://alpinecreeklodge.com/?page_id=128

Glad that it is working now. You may check in with your hosting provider for any error logs to see what happened.
