Hello,
The videos in iLightbox load too slowly, whether on desktop or mobile. Website visitors may think that their computer has hung. When it finally displays, it looks very good on both desktop and mobile. But the load time is unacceptable. I tested the video load times on iLightbox’s own website, and the load times on there are terrible, too. So it seems like this is an issue directly with iLightbox. I have searched for solutions on their CodeCanyon comment section (WordPress version of iLightbox, so I do not know if it is exactly the same as what the X theme is using); and only found this response from the author, which did not offer a solution:

—————————————————I have been testing various responsive video lightbox WordPress plugin demos on my iPhone — most of them load quickly, but their lightbox popups look bad in portrait mode. Do you have any recommendations for a WP video lightbox plugin?
In my client’s current website, the videos load very quickly in the lightbox. They are using WordPress plugin called Easy FancyBox by Ravan H.
The reason I don’t just simply use this plugin instead is because the Easy FancyBox developer indicates that it is not optimized for mobile.
In a private comment I will provide the urls for:
1) The Ethos page with iLightbox videos that load too slowly
2) The client’s existing site with Easy FancyBox videos that load much faster
These are YouTube videos. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This issue is critical to begin able to launch the new site – the videos are on the Home page.

This reply has been marked as private.Okay, I’ve tested Easy Fancybox and it does load quickly on Ethos. The initial layout on the iPhone is a bit different than I’d like, but it is still much better than the other plugins I was looking at.
In the Easy Fancybox settings (Settings> Media> Fancybox) under “Enable FancyBox” I only selected “Video” since I am not using a lightbox feature anywhere else on the site.
The code on my page looks like this:

I will provide links to screen shots of the lightbox as it appears on my iPhone.
One photo is of how the videos looks when it first appears in the lightbox; the other photo shows how the video looks when it is playing. These are both in portrait position (I know some people who turn “off” landscape view on their phones).
PLEASE NOTE: If X Theme customers decide to use Easy Fancybox, please remember that X Theme does not support this particular plugin, and the Easy FancyBox developer indicates that it is NOT optimized for mobile. So you’re on your own if you don’t get the results you are looking for. I am simply posting this info because it worked well for me on mobile — and I hope it helps others!

It sounds like you might be having an issue with a third party plugin or script. Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
With regards to ilightbox, your video is working fine on my end and is loading fast.

Actually, I think you may have misunderstood. I was having problems with iLightbox that comes with the X Theme. I originally posted and asked if there were any other video lightbox plugins that anyone could recommend that did not have such extremely slow load times. I also mentioned that I would test a third party plugin.
My results with the third party plugin were good, so I posted the details here so that if anyone else had issues with extremely slow load times when using iLightbox for videos, that they could see what worked for me. Just trying to be helpful. 🙂
Thank you for testing it on your end. As far as I can tell, my problem was resolved when I switched to the Easy Fancybox plugin.
