sininviernoParticipantHello
I’ve made a slider and placed the videos in layers so that they would play on mobile.
However, it is not working. Is it because it’s on autoplay? I haven’t found a way to keep the autoplay working on desktop and not on mobile. The slider is on the front page: http://www.sininvierno.com
Thank you!

FriechModeratorHi There,
Thanks, I am seeing this JS error (http://prntscr.com/e2f4zc). Please do a testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
And is there a Vimeo video on the page? It seems has something to do with the error.
Let us know how it goes.

sininviernoParticipantThank you Friech
There’s a vimeo video playing as background for a section down below, but that one won’t play on mobile and that’s fine… I’ve set it up so that the cover photo shows instead.
Just in case I hid it on mobile to check but the behaviour of the slider didn’t change at all so I turned it back on.
Any other ideas on how to fix the media carousel? I don’t mind if it doesn’t autoplay but it won’t even show youtube controls at all.
Thanks

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
You should disable autoplay option for youtube video to fix the issue on mobile.
Hope it helps.

sininviernoParticipantThanks Christopher I’ll certainly try that.
Is there a way to keep the autoplay for desktop and disable it for mobile? Thanks

Nabeel AModeratorHi again,
Regretfully this can’t be done, If you disable autoplay then it will be disabled for both mobile and desktop.
Hope this helps!

sininviernoParticipantWell It’s ok that I have autoplay on, user only has to touch on cover image and video will start playing on mobile. But this is not so obvious
Is there a way to overlay a passive image to make this more obvious? I overlaid an image but what it did was interfere with the “hit” area of the cover image…
ideas?

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
You can edit your poster image and place a play button within your poster image. Having it this way, integrating the play button in the image will not interfere with any click events when this poster image is displayed in smaller screens.
Please let us know how it goes.
