Hello,
I am creating a video cover for the revolution slider (similar to Integrity 1 x theme). I have loaded my video into the HTML5 in the main cover/background section. However, when I try to save I get the prompt “Cover image need to be set for videos”. What is this referring to? If I select any other option and save (Main image/background, Transparent or solid colour) it works but the video does not show anymore, and I cannot select a video for the main image/background. I only want the video to show.
Thanks for your help!
September 24, 2015 at 1:17 pm #401391Hi there,
You will have to set the Cover Image just right below the options where you set the HTML5 video.
Please see the screenshot below.

September 24, 2015 at 7:04 pm #401676Hello There,
Sorry for the confusion. Please note that in Integrity 1 demo, we’re using a 1 transparent slide in revolution slider. Then on the Page settings where you want the slider to appear there is Slider Settings: Above Masthead. Below the Slider dropdown, there’s an input field for Optional Background Video. Enter the URL for you video there. There’s also an option for Video Poster image for mobile view.
Hope this helps.
September 25, 2015 at 1:29 am #469677Thanks,
So are we losing out on any options by customizing it this way? The main issue for me is that my video is fairly short and I don’t want it to loop so quickly. Basically a 5 or 10 second pause in-between loops would be great. Is there an option I can set for that?
Cheers,
September 25, 2015 at 1:53 am #474368Hello There,
Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding. Take care!
September 25, 2015 at 3:06 am #486848OK,
I will likely edit the video myself and upload a new one that has a longer pause at the end.
I guess I would suggest not making it mandatory to have a cover image at the beginning of the slider (for a future update) because it could be easily customized if this wasn’t a requirement.
Thank you!
September 25, 2015 at 3:41 am #492394Hi,
We certainly appreciate the feedback! This is something we can add to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive. Thanks!

January 12, 2016 at 6:49 pm #743415Since the upgrade, I can’t get the video to show up when I select the video on the page. More details here: http://screencast.com/t/J6Sha9VY
