    Hi Guys,

    For the site – http://healhcare-platform.com I have added a video below the masthead using revolution slider. The video plays find on desktop and even the background image and animation load on mobile and tablet but the 5mb video will not play.

    Can you help me with what I am doing wrong here? I want the video to play on all devices.

    I’ll provide creds below.

    Thank you but that thread is all the way back to 2014, and it basically states for mobile devices videos are not allowed to play on mobile devices! While that made good sense in 2014, it’s not a valid position in 2017, especially for tablet size devices beyond just a mobile phone.

    If this won’t work are there are plugins or approaches you might suggest that will get around this current limitation?

    Hi There,

    The solution would be to use a video not as a video background but as a video element.

    Unfortunately for now there is no way WP can differ a touch device from a mobile device. I do agree with you it is time to change that with touch device becoming more popular, but for now there is no way a video background will work.

    Ah got it and understood. That makes sense and too bad but it’s not the end of the world on this one.
