I have a video background set on the home page of my site. It works in some browsers, but no on others. For example: on my Mac, it works in Safari, Firefox and Chrome, but not in Opera. It just shows a black background. On a PC, it works in Explorer, but not in Chrome. Same thing. Just shows a black background.
Any idea how to fix this?
Here is the URl: http://bunchyogurt.com
Thanks!
January 30, 2014 at 6:42 pm #9778Hey Luke,
I just fired this up in every browser across PC and Mac and the only browser it did not work in was Opera. This appears to be something related to the production script in the original code and we’ll need to investigate this further.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
January 30, 2014 at 7:40 pm #9797OK. Thanks. Please let me know what you find out.
January 30, 2014 at 7:43 pm #9798Luke,
Absolutely. We will investigate this as soon as possible. Thanks.

Thanks
February 4, 2014 at 11:26 am #10942The same people that can’t view the background video in Chrome and Opera can’t view your template video either.
http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/The video never loads, just a black screen.
Any idea on how to fix it?
Thanks!
February 5, 2014 at 1:25 am #11131Hey Luke,
I have tested our particular link that you are using as an example in Chrome as well as your own personal site on all of the following operating systems:
- Mac OS X
- Windows XP
- Windows 7
- Windows 8
The background video shows up as expected for our site and yours in Chrome. We are still investigating this, but it might be some time before we can come to a complete solution due to the fact that the error is only appearing in Opera. While not ideal, due to Opera’s incredibly low browser share there are currently other items that we have planned on working through first before this issue (due to importance, when other requests were submitted, et cetera).
We assure you that this will be addressed as soon as it can and it has been prioritized along with all of our other requests to look into from our users. Any announcements on this feature being updated will be placed in the release notes of a coming version if we are able to get to it, so definitely make sure to keep up with the release notes as we work through everything.
Thank you for your understanding.
February 8, 2014 at 8:18 am #12383Hello Luke,
The background video looks gread in Chrome to me. How did you make it?April 18, 2015 at 3:23 pm #252909I’m running into the same exact problem as Luke S. Has there been any fix for this or any new developments? Also, on lukes site the video does not play in chrome or firefox, nor does your demo theme video. Only IE works. Also, on the same page I can set up my own html/css/js background video in the content and that seems to run just fine. Is there a new way to get this running through the revolution slider?
April 18, 2015 at 3:35 pm #252910FYI, I’ve also created a webm version of the file and that still does not run for me in chrome or firefox when I link to them in the slider.
These play just fine by going directly to them.
