On the top slider my logo layer is transparent with no background color at all, but on every browser except Safari (Mac) my self-hosted video background does not play, and instead there is a black background behind my transparent logo layer. Any help would be appreciated.

January 28, 2014 at 11:22 pm #9243Hey Tim,
Thanks for writing in and for your kind words. We’re sorry you’re experiencing an issue with this. Could you please send us a link to your website?
Thanks.

Thanks for that. When I go to the link to your actual .mp4 file, it doesn’t play for me in any browser:

Conversely, you’ll notice that the video we use for our slider should be playing for you:

Also, in checking out your site in all browsers, the video did not play for me. However, our demos across our installations that use this feature are playing as expected. I think that something might be wrong with your file, or perhaps you have typed in an incorrect URL to it. I would begin by looking into that to see what is causing the issue. Everything else appears to be setup correctly though.
Thanks!
January 29, 2014 at 1:39 pm #9387My video was originally a mpg which I converted to mp4, I’ve tried 5 diff programs for converting to mp4, same result with all. Is there a very specific type of mp4 this needs to be or a specific way it needs to be converted?
Thanks
January 29, 2014 at 5:54 pm #9451As long as they’re being encoded with H.264/MPEG-4, everything should be okay. Our video example was originally a .mov file, which we converted, compressed, and exported using Adobe Premiere. Do you by any chance have access to another video that is already an .mp4 file to test out, just to see if it’s working? As stated earlier, your file simply didn’t seem to be working, but this is just to rule out anything else. Where are you getting the original video from, and what is its file format?
Thanks!
January 29, 2014 at 5:55 pm #9452It was originally an .mpg from Shutterstock
January 29, 2014 at 6:44 pm #9480Hmmm, very strange indeed. Let us know when you have a chance to test it out with another video that you know works as an .mp4 file.
Thanks!
July 21, 2015 at 11:22 pm #336534HELP!!!! I’m having the same problem. What’s the fix?
July 22, 2015 at 3:28 am #336699Hi,
Have you tried converting your video to H.264/MPEG-4 format?
Can you provide us your site url.
