    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! You can add the autoplay parameter as follows.

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=eBvAr3oXiCo%3Fautoplay%3D1

    Hope that helps.

    Hi There,

I see you’re using a YouTube video and you placed it on a Video Player element, that’s not right you should use the Embedded Video element instead and paste the embed code from Youtube.

    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/eBvAr3oXiCo?rel=0&showinfo=0&autoplay=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    Hope it helps, Cheers!

    Hi there,

Background video doesn’t display sound. Please add rev slider below masthead and insert video as slide’s background.

    Hope it helps.

Is there a best way to do ths?

rev slider wouldnt play sound, and wouldnt let us apply layers over the top.

    layer slider is rubbish…

    Hi There,

Well if we can’t set the video as background because a couple of reasons. Then we need to add the video as Embedded Video element, like I said above. And then place a text and button element just below that and we will position it on top of the video with a custom CSS.

    Thanks.

    Hi There,

I am a bit confused with the issue you are facing.

Background videos won’t play sound but will allow you to put elements on top.

While a video element will play sound but won’t allow you to put elements on top.

    Would you mind to clarify?

    Cheers

there is a video in the background of that top banner, with text over the top. i dont want sound. all i want is for it to play automatically from the moment people log onto that page.

thats all i have ever asked for, but the previous message someone put didnt work.

    Hi There,

But you specifically said on the first post “with sound”. The main issue here is that you can not use a YouTube video as a section’s background. You need a direct video URL (example: http://techslides.com/demos/sample-videos/small.mp4 ) and YouTube does not provide that.

If you use a direct video URL, video will play automatically without the ?autoplay=1 parameter.

    Hope this shed some lights.

    Thanks.

So how would you recommend we do this considering it is on YOutube>

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing back. Perhaps we are not getting your issue properly. If you use as background video then it won’t have sound but will have autoplay and loop. If you need sound then you should use as Embedded Video. That’s it for the two options. Now if you have any specific question, let us know.

    Cheers!

My point is – HOW DO I GET A BACKGROUND VIDEO TO PLAY ON AUTO???????

That has been my only point all along and after 14 messages it still isnt answered. I know it is possible, but it won’t work.
