Hey there,
I’d like to add a vertical floating/sticky menu bar to the left menu bar – should always stay there also while scrolling down – to my website at http://test.thoughtleadersystems.com.
It should look like they have done it at: https://anwalt-kg.de/insolvenzrecht/privatinsolvenz/.
How can I implement this?
Also how can I only have the top menu items showing up in the mobile nav (so the sub menu items should be hidden) using the “shiftnav” menu?
Thanks for your help!
Cheers,
TobbiasSeptember 16, 2016 at 9:59 pm #1178986Hello Tobias,
Thanks for writing in and the very detailed information. Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.
For the meantime, please check out 3rd party plugins to handle this for you. The plugin repository has a lot to offer.

September 17, 2016 at 6:35 am #1179272Hey there,
Not sure why this should be outside the scope since such a nav-bar is very usability friendly and very often used within other websites and themes? However, thanks for the provided links!
Anyway, let’s move on and maybe you can assist me with my next question:
Is there an option within X-Theme to add another horizontal menu to the very top of the header above the primary horizontal menu that is always visible (so a kind of a meta menu)?
This can be seen nowadays in many other themes like all genesis ones e.g. http://my.studiopress.com/themes/genesis/#demo-full or websites like https://www.ing-diba.de
Thanks for your help!
Kind regards,
TorstenSeptember 17, 2016 at 6:56 am #1179288Hi Torsten,
You can enable Topbar and add menu links there e.g :
<a href="#">Home</a>|<a href="#">Blog</a>
Alternatively you can follow this thread to add a second menu dynamically https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/second-menu-2/#post-306685
Hope this helps!
