markusp80ParticipantHi!
I just updated WP to 4.5.1 and VC to 4.11.2.1. Now I get an error message all over my site, looks like it has something to do with columns.
Notice: Undefined variable: fade_duration in /customers/1/f/a/markusp.se/httpd.www/wp-content/themes/x/vc_templates/vc_column.php on line 27Notice: Undefined variable: bg_color in /customers/1/f/a/markusp.se/httpd.www/wp-content/themes/x/vc_templates/vc_column.php on line 88
Any idea how to fix this? Please help!
/Markus

Paul RModeratorHi,
Can you confirm that you are fully updated? (Theme and Plugins)
The latest version numbers as of this time are: (http://theme.co/changelog/)
X Theme 4.4.2
Cornerstone 1.2.4
https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.
If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.
Thanks

markusp80ParticipantYes, I can confirm that I have X theme 4.4.2 and Cornerstone 1.2.4 installed. Like I also wrote before, WP 4.5.1 and Visual Composer 4.11.2.1.
I might add that my whole website is built in Visual Composer.
For now I have set up a temporary empty page, but the error message shows there as well. The website is http://www.markusp.se.
The error message goes (as you also can see on my website):
Notice: Undefined variable: fade_duration in /customers/1/f/a/markusp.se/httpd.www/wp-content/themes/x/vc_templates/vc_column.php on line 27Notice: Undefined variable: bg_color in /customers/1/f/a/markusp.se/httpd.www/wp-content/themes/x/vc_templates/vc_column.php on line 88April 29, 2016 at 12:29 pm #905931
Felix GParticipantYes I’am fully updated too! X Theme: 4.11.2.1 Cornerstone: 1.2.4 WP: 4.5.1 and Visual Composer 4.11.2.1
On another site of mine I cannot update VC above 4.9 so I tried to install 4.9 for a while. It didn’t help. So I updated back to 4.11.2.1My site is built in Visual Composer too.
In my next post there will be some login credentials. Maybe you want to have look from inside.

Felix GParticipant@markusp80: I emptied all my caches with “W3 Total Cache” and installed “WP-Optimize”. Now everything works again. I don’t know wich one did the trick because I did it all at once but hopefully this works for you too!
cheers

markusp80ParticipantAAAAH! I love you! 😀 😀 😀
I tried disabling my current plugins like W3 Super Cache, Autoptimize, Speed booster pack and Transient cleaner. I then installed W3 Total cahce but that had no effect. I disabled it and installed WP-Optimize and just enable scheduled clean-up and optimization to “Every week”. That did the trick, things are back to normal!
Thanks!
I must also say, I am used to faster and better answers from the X support… :-/ That is by far your best feature, Themeco, please keep up the solid level of support you have always had.
