Hi,
Does anyone have a quick tip to improve the speed of how fast the Visual Composer post grid feed loads posts? My page in general loads ok but the posts (just displaying the title and read more link, no image) is very slow to display.
Many thanks.
March 17, 2016 at 7:23 am #841668Hi Matt,
Thanks for writing in!
It’s Visual Composer that handles the display of post grid feed. I’m not sure if it’s possible to increase its size. However, it would be outside the scope of our support. You may refer to Visual Composer documentation: https://wpbakery.atlassian.net/wiki/display/VC/Visual+Composer+Pagebuilder+for+WordPress
Thank you!
July 14, 2016 at 7:18 pm #1087637Also having this issue Perhaps if you won’t support it you could remove the grid from the theme, because there is no documentation anywhere on this, they tell us to to talk to you, and you’re telling us to talk to them. Meanwhile the post grid takes 5 seconds to load any posts.. which is unacceptable. The rest of the site loads fine. If you go to your demo theme, create a custom grid, put a few posts in it, make it the only thing on the page and it takes less than 3-5 seconds to load I’ll paypal you a dollar. Please inform us of how to speed this element up.

It’s a feature of Visual Composer, how we could remove this from theme? If you don’t like this, you can lot of other options. We have integrated Essential Grid and The Grid for your convenience. Let’s try them out.
Visual Composer is just another option but we always recommend to use Cornerstone to build pages as it’s managed by Themeco and we can provide exclusive support for this.
Cheers!
August 8, 2016 at 4:04 pm #1122731Yes, but I’m using visual composer. I’ve created a custom grid using it, and it’s frustrating that there is no answer to this question from you guys nor from the visual composer people. But there are tons of topics on it. The grid is very slow to load. All people want is someone to address this issue. Rather than you guys send us to the VC people and they send us to you. Could someone please address this issue. Maybe you guys call them up, because it is an issue. And it’s only an issue in X theme. I use it on other sites with VC without issue.
I’ve been using this theme for a long time. And plenty of support requests and replies and you guys are amazing. Seriously I adore you. But the responses on this issue are infuriating and not something I’ve seen on ANY other issue in this forum no matter what it was.
August 9, 2016 at 4:29 am #1123422Hey there,
There is no documentation on this as this is not configurable. This depends on your web host’s performance. I tested this on my local and online test sites and they load fast even with images.
Thanks.
