I’m loving the new extensions and have been playing around with them. I’d prefer to use things that are native to X so I know they’re compatible but it looks like this extension doesn’t take into account anything more than name and email.
We’re using our email as a way to track pledges to raise money so we need additional fields and checkboxes, etc. Are there any plans in the future to have more of this function available? You can see the form we’re using now on this page. http://www.exstorktion.com/kayaking/November 12, 2014 at 9:03 am #143360I believe in MailChimp you can set up the forms to have whatever fields you need. What fields do you have on your MailChimp signup form? These should translate and come into X.
Could you provide us with your login information so we can take a closer look?
To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentialsDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

We’re sorry for the confusion! At the moment MailChimp extension is only configured to display Name and Email fields as the subscription normally uses email and name only.
Thank you.
November 13, 2014 at 11:08 am #144420I am having the same request here π
I get subscribers from various countries and I would like to include a field with a drop down menu listing them.
I can do that by designing and embedding a form via the Mailchimp dashboard but it would be cool to do it in house from the X theme. If this gets implemented in the future, will we be notified?
Thanks
November 13, 2014 at 6:56 pm #144775Hi Spyros,
Yes added your request π
And in terms of countries, how about letting mailchimp do geolocation detection by using mailchimp segments?
Location
Your list contains different types of location data, which is all available when you use the Location condition. You can segment by the geolocation data we track, or by zip code and address information you’ve imported with your list.
When using U.S. zip codes, use only five-digits. To use geolocation, choose is within or is not within, enter a distance from a city, and click Validate Location to get the most accurate segment.
If you will base your geolocation from field entry, then anyone can spoof it.
Thanks!

Thank you for your feedback! I’ll forward it to our development team.
Have a nice day! π
July 22, 2015 at 8:05 pm #337573Hi X Staff,
Could you please let me know your timing on this or if there are any alternative solutions? I’ve often used MailChimp to capture Company, Phone etc in the forms in order to provide back papers and the like. The limitation on form fields is not ideal.
Two other requests to add to your list:
1. The ability to use CAPTCHA on forms
2. An option to turn off the double-opt in, which is possible via the MailChimp API. There are some cases where you just don’t want to do the double opt in…I have found another plugin that I think is up there as one of the best, developed by Danny van Kooten: https://mc4wp.com/
Thanks, Lincoln
July 22, 2015 at 10:44 pm #337719Hello Lincoln
We certainly appreciate the feedback! This is something we can add to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive. With that reason, we can’t promise a definite time frame.Thank you for understanding!
October 1, 2015 at 5:12 am #606199Hi Themeco,
I’ll add my voice to this too! It would be great to have the extra options that I’ve specified on my Mailchimp form come across to the form in the X Theme extension.
I agree with Mark (top) that it’s great to use the native extensions where possible.
Thanks!
Jonathan

November 9, 2015 at 9:43 am #658206Ditto for me as well. I would consider this to be my most desire improvement, otherwise the integration with Mailchimp is not so useful for me.
thanks!
November 9, 2015 at 12:43 pm #658437Hi Jim,
Thanks for the feedback! I’ll count your vote.
Cheers!
January 27, 2016 at 7:19 am #766760I’ll chime in here tooβthe most important part of MailChimp for us is allowing people to segment themselves into groups when they sign up. Doesn’t seem like I can show those fields via X right now, which diminishes its usefulness.
