    Hi folks,

Any advice as to how to go about using a spinner/loading .gif other than the ones available from the drop-down menu within Revolution Slider’s “Settings” page?

We have our own, branded loading .gif we’d like to use instead.

    Thanks,
    AJ

Hello I would love to help you with your question.
You can upload your custom load gif here: wp-content/plugins/revslider/rs-plugin/assets
There you can upload your custom and you can also view the default Revolution Slider load icons.
    Hope that helps.

    Hi William and thanks,

I have uploaded the .gif via that path already, the problem is getting it as an option under “Spinner” after uploading it to the plugin’s assets. In other words, I can’t figure out how to apply the custom .gif as the spinner.

Hmm… Try replacing your spinner with one that is exsisting. (delete a default spinner, name yours to the exact name of the defauly) Let me know if it works or not.

    Hi again, William,

Try replacing your spinner with one that is exsisting. (delete a default spinner, name yours to the exact name of the defauly) Let me know if it works or not.

I did that too, but had to dig into the settings’ CSS to alter the spinners size parameters as it was cropping our .gif on the front end to the constraints set in the CSS for the default spinner I replaced. But doing this didn’t actually end up altering the height or width parameters of the spinner on the front end, so these default parameters must be written-in somewhere else. Where that is if not in Settings CSS, I have no idea.

…All this for a custom loading gif lol 😉

I think we might just stick with the nifty, flashing blue dot.

    Thanks again,
    AJ
