Hello,
We are trying to update our x theme and we are unable to drag and drop the folder into our Cpanel from Godaddy.com. We have opened the downloaded folder and uncompressed it and tried to upload that x folder. The only time we were able to successfully upload a folder it showed up as a x.zip folder and did not override the previous information. Should we be using a different FTP server or are we uploading this file in the wrong place. We tried it in the wp/content/themes as well as opening the x theme in that directory.
Thank you for your assistance
September 16, 2014 at 2:41 pm #106006Hi there,
You can use a FTP client to upload theme to your server. You can download FileZilla (https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client).
Here’s a simple guide to follow (https://support.godaddy.com/help/article/104/connecting-to-your-hosting-account-with-filezilla-ftp)
Thanks

After updating the theme using filezilla, and purchasing and updating the new customizer we are unable to change “The shop” headline or make any changes using the frontend editor.
Thank you for your help

You are using visual composer version 4.3.4, X does not support version of Visual Composer other than the one bundled with X theme
You can find more information from here -> http://theme.co/x/member/kb/integrated-plugins-visual-composer/
You need to install the visual composer that comes bundled with X. Please also install and activate X shortcode and make sure you are using version 2.3.5
Hope that clarifies.

September 17, 2014 at 12:08 pm #106610We went ahead and uninstalled the WPBakery Visual Composer 4.3.4 and it’s still not working.
September 17, 2014 at 12:25 pm #106625The required plugins can be installed from Appearance -> Install Plugins – http://kennethsnipps.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=install-required-plugins
I went ahead and installed it for you and now you should be good.
September 17, 2014 at 12:33 pm #106634I just tried to access the Customizer and got the following error message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1280 bytes) in /home/tgb1109/public_html/kennethsnipps.com/wp-admin/includes/template.php on line 2008
September 17, 2014 at 12:45 pm #106649Hi There,
Please refer to this article -> http://theme.co/x/member/kb/solutions-to-potential-setup-issues-customizer/
If that doesn’t solve your issue, you need to contact your hosting provider and ask them to increase the memory limit of your server.
Have a great day.
September 17, 2014 at 1:04 pm #106670It appears that has solved this rather lengthy problem.
Thank you so much for your help and patience. I really do appreciate it.
