VC is not working—I read the note in the green box above that is why I am trying to update the theme.

Thanks for writing in! It seems you are using very older version of X (v3.2.4) so somehow missed the update notices. Kindly update your theme manually for now. You can download the installable theme from themeforest or here – https://community.theme.co/dashboard/
Let’s place the extracted theme folder x under wp-content/themes/ folder using FTP replacing the old theme folder. Make sure to take a backup of your site before performing update as you are upgrading from very old version.

visinnoParticipantI have updated one of my 5 sites with no problem. Then I went to do http://canalfultonareachamberofcommerce.org/ and have 3 plugins that have this message “There is a new version of Slider Revolution available. View version 5.2.4.1 details. Automatic update is unavailable for this plugin.” (of course the versions are different) all of them when you click on the link “View version 5.2.4.1 details.” have the error “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.” How do I get the update for these 3 plugins? Also, why aren’t they working on the automatic updates?

Thanks for updating the thread! There may be something conflicting or your host maybe restricting access to our servers where the plugins are hosted. You may want to check with your host. Alternatively if you download the latest X from your Themeforest account, the updated plugins will also be available for manual update.
You can try deleting the plugins manually then installing them via X Addons > Extensions or by just installing them manually to the plugins folder via FTP.
Please take note to keep a backup of your site before proceeding. Also it would be a good idea export your sliders so you have a back up as well.

Thanks for updating the thread! For the solilquy issue, where is it on that site so we can investigate. Also, please provide us with login credentials so we can take a closer look. To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentialsDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
Regarding, the site that needs updating that is using a child theme, there shouldn’t be anything different. The child theme will pull in the parent, main X theme, so updating that should work the same. If any issues come up, we’ll be here to assist.

visinnoParticipantI did ftp up the update onto http://northcantonohio.gov and it is now working.
