    Hi there,

I have Slider Revolution that came bundled with Theme X. After updating my theme, I’m having trouble with sliders not appearing. They aren’t showing on my page (though the link is still active and responsive). I can’t seem to figure out where the error is, as the slides are showing in the backend. I’ve searched and done some trouble shooting, to no avail. Any help?

    Thank you!

    Hi There,

The Slider above the masthead seems to be working on my end.

But there indeed a very big blank section under the header.

Please check if you are running the latest versions of X, Cornerstone and Rev Slider:

    Revolution Slider v5.2.4.1
    X Theme: 4.4.2
    Cornerstone: 1.2.4

If you need further assistance please provide us your wp-admin credentials ( and don“t forget to mark the reply as private)

    Hope that helps,

    Thanks

    Hi there,

Cornerstone is a required plugin in x, please visit X addons page to install cornerstone automatically.
After installing cornerstone, disable x shortcodes plugin.

    Thanks.

Thank you, I’ve gone ahead and installed Cornerstone! Edit: and deactivated X-shortcodes.

URGENT: now it seems NONE of my pages are loading at all!

EDIT: I re-activated shortcodes as these pages are relied upon especially at the beginning of the month. If you’re able to help with a fix after disabling shortcodes I can work on that, but I can’t have those pages down in the meantime!

    Hi There,

I can see that those pages are built using Visual Composer. Would you mind deleting visual composer(js_composer folder) via FTP from this folder wp-content/plugins/. Then install it again via Addons > Home. Then try deactivating X-shortcode plugin and check those pages again. Do let us know how this goes.

    Always,
    X

Is it possible for me to be sent a zip file of the updated Rev Slider? It appears we’re actually not running the latest version, but because it came bundled with Theme X I cannot simply update. Please advise.

    Hi There,

Navigate to your ThemeForest download page, download the X|Theme’s All files & documentation. That should contain a folder named extensions which contain all the latest bundle extensions .zip file.

    Hope it helps, Cheers!

Hi there – we’ve gone ahead and followed all of your instructions but are still encountering the error on our main page, under the header. We might simply delete the slider for now in order to get rid of the unsightly blank rectangle, but still need to resolve the larger issue as to why things aren’t operating correctly. Any assistance is fully appreciated!

update: removing the main page slider did not solve the issue, that strange blank space is still appearing regardless. cannot seem to find the root of the issue

    Hi there,

Upon checking your site, I can see you are still using X Shortcodes and no Cornerstone yet. Kindly remove X Shortcodes and install Cornerstone. If you have any pages using shortcodes then it won’t break since all the functionality of X Shortcodes has been integrated to Cornerstone.

Kindly make sure to do that before updating. Simply there is no way to fix this without Cornerstone as you are using latest version of X which rely on Cornerstone.

    Thanks
