“Unable to locate the provided API key. Please create one from your Themeco account.”
I searched through the forum topics, but could not find a solution.
I want to update my theme on http://www.voetreflexhoogerheide.nl. But that doesn’t work because I have to validate my product? I have to register to get an API key .. but I’m already registered, because when I fill in my data, I get the message that the account already exists.
So … within my account I revoked the API key and copy pasted the new one(s). But it doesn’t seem to work, because I’m getting the message “Unable to locate the provided API key. Please create one from your Themeco account.” This way I can not update my theme.

What am I doing wrong?
Best regards,

Automatic update is available for validated products, so please validate your version of X.
Please follow this KB article to validate your product : https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validationIf it doesn’t help provide us with URL, login credentials and API key in private replay.
Thanks.

Thanks for updating this thread! Could you please make sure that there is no blank space in the api key? Would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can take a closer look and try to replicate the issue?
To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / passwordDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
Thank you.
April 20, 2016 at 7:02 am #891632I am also having this problem, we moved the theme from test site to live and now when I try to validate it says that the purchase code has already been used and the API key – a new one which I created – is Unable to locate the provided license key. Please ensure it is linked to your Themeco account. Help please, Cornerstone will not work anymore. thanks

Please make sure that you Revoked the validation in the test site if you did not register it as the development environment.
You can do all of these here: https://community.theme.co/users/xperisoft-marketing/licenses/

X has changed the validation process.
Please follow this link and update X manually https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/
Next login to your account and assign the license to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
Go back to X Addons > Home, and insert the purchase code to validate. And please review the changes that we made on how you are going to validated your X theme because we made a big change in the process. Please check it out here: https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/
Hope it helps.
