My under construction countdown page won’t go away. Here is what happened:

I was using the under construction plugin while building a site.
I’m done and want to show it to the client.
I adjusted the settings in the plugin to not show the countdown page.
    The countdown is still showing.

    I cleared my wordpress cache.
I disabled and deleted the plugin.
    I cleared the wordpress cache.
    The countdown is still showing.

I updated all plugins and themes.
I disabled ALL plugins and revered to the default 2015 theme.
    I cleared my browser cache.
    The countdown is still showing!

What is going on here? I need to get the site working 🙂

Thank you SO much for your help with this!

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! I have noticed you didn’t have X and Cornerstone activated on your site. Note that you need to use Cornerstone to run X smoothly since it’s a required plugin. However there is two version of Cornerstone on your site (maybe with different folder name) – http://prntscr.com/a824y3

    Kindly remove the old one.

    Cheers!

Ok, I removed the old version of cornerstone.
    Did you understand my problem?
My problem is that the coming soon page will not disappear. It’s still showing the coming soon page and I can’t get my site to show, even when I switch to the default theme.

    Thanks-

Does this give any additional insight? When I type in a page URL (ie. http://www.scarlettthompson.com/contact) it says:

Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0

I was able to work it out— In addition to clearing the cache, I “preloaded” a new cache. This solved the problem.
