I generated the API key as per instructed(revoked it 2 times and tried again)When I paste it on my localhost (http://localhost:8888/wordpress/)
I get this message–Unable to locate the provided license key. Please ensure it is linked to your Themeco account..
please help

Thanks for writing in! As we have explained here (https://community.theme.co//kb/product-validation/), validation are just meant for real domains, though we also enable localhost validation for local development servers which we do not guarantee its validation success (user can still manually update or install extensions).
However you can create unique domain using virtual host (vhost) in your local development environment. For example you can create (your-domain.dev), and then use it to validate your site.
If you’re using OS X server, please refer to this article on how to setup a domain on MAMP (http://blainsmith.com/articles/quick-and-dirty-local-domain-names-for-mamp).
If you’re using something like XAMPP, you can find an article explaining everything in detail here (http://sawmac.com/xampp/virtualhosts/).
Once you’re done with the development, you can revoke your development API key and re-generate a new API key for your actual domain.
