    Hi Guys.

    Im struggling like crazy here. Ive tried to install my new X theme via WordPress with no joy. I then tried via FTP with no joy.

    All im getting are a lot of failed transfers. ive made sure that i’m importing the Theme Only file and not the whole package.

    I’m confused why im getting more failed file transfers than i am successful ones. oh and its extremely slow upload speed. i keep timing out.

    im really confused

    Please Help.. this is my 2nd themeco licence and i love it but never had this problem before.

    Hi Dale,

    Thanks for writing in! Base on your post, I would try checking with your hosting provider on this particular issue as it sounds like something related to your setup is causing this. Typically, this is due server configuration problems (i.e. underpowered, traceroute issues, packet loss, permissions errors, et cetera). Additionally, your host will be able to diagnose things much better due to the fact that they have a more complete view of your account and can work behind the scenes with you. If the problem you are experiencing persists after working with your host, don’t hesitate to let us know and we will be happy to assist you. Any relevant information that you can share (FTP credentials) with us from your host is also greatly appreciated as it will help us to better ascertain the source of the problem.

    i spoke to my hosting provider (godaddy) and they said there is no reason why i should be experiencing any problems uploading a theme.

    they did mention something about writing a new “ioi.php” (i think thats what he said) to increase some upload time, timeout time etc etc… but i dont have the first clue how to do that. im a themeco junkie not a coder lol.

    I’ve not come across this before and im running out of options now! its taken me 4 hours already and ive not even manage to do anything. Godaddy was wanting $30 to write a line of php code. but im not willing to pay for something i dont believe to be the problem.

    I paid for a theme and hosting so i should have to pay additional cost just to install the theme when ive succesfully installed it before via ftp and wordpress.

    is a refund an option so i can go with a less complicated theme to install?

    X is not complicated to install. Installation is just like all of WordPress themes.

    Would you mind downloading X here https://community.theme.co/dashboard/ and install it again? If you could also start on a fresh WordPress install, that would be great.

    Hi Christian,

    Ive done that buddy. ive download the theme from the same link you sent to make sure it was the latest version. i also did a fresh wordpress installation and also checked via ftp to make sure the old themes was deleted.

    As far as im aware now there should be no problems adding the theme either via WP or http://ftp.. but i am mate.

    It simply does not want to know. Godaddy are not being much help either really.

    im not a pain normally Christian haha but i do feel abit fustrated now. ive even downloaded new browsers to see if chrome or firefox was at fault but im still getting nowhere.

    Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password
    – FTP credentials

    Hi There,

    I have sucessfully installed X for you.

    I did not face any problems during the installation I simply logged in in your FTP and upload the theme folder to your folder wp-content/themes/

    The next step now is to validate your theme. Please follow the link below.
