    Hi,
    I’ve followed the instructions to download, upload and set-up the child theme as given on this page

    How to Setup Child Themes

    But I’m still getting the message that the parent theme is missing.
    Please help.

    Sounds like you haven’t installed X properly. Please give us access to your WordPress admin and FTP.

    Hello There,

    Thanks for providing the information. I went ahead and checked the caused of the issue. You have uploaded the X files in the wrong folder. You uploaded it in this folder wp-content/themes/x/ where as it should be uploaded here in this folder wp-content/themes/x/. I already resolve the issue and remove the unnecessary folders.

    Please check your site now.
