Hey guys, I know your are working hard and I am pumped up to see what you bring to the table next. If in your everincreasing things to do you could find a moment to look at this I would be grateful.
I feel I know the answer and its bloated related but if you could check out
https://www.brainstormforce.com/demos/ultimate/overlay-effects/
I love this plugin as it gives some awesome extra functionality to VC and I know you guys have stripped it back, in doing so its stopping the ability to see the effects tab that this plugin renders.
Is that something easy to be turned back on or should I stick to photoshop. I just love the idea of adding overlay to images, specially parrallax effects where I need the button / text to stand out and I can dull out the background without the whole hassle of editing.
November 9, 2014 at 7:28 pm #141350Great question! I love this theme + Ultimate VC but are you experiencing slower load times too?
November 9, 2014 at 8:40 pm #141375I have played around recently with VC ultimate addons and it ends up breaking my theme and wordpress. the Parallax extra options gets stuck on and I can not turn it off without having to delete the row and remake it so the option is turned off.
That is not the only problem I noticed either, clicking update results in some pretty unexpected behavior at times, like not updating at all and returning “experiencing connectivity issues to server” Hell even disabling VC addons does not fix this once you have used VC ultimate addons that is it I need to reinstall wordpress or fiddle around with clearing caches and TMp files in wordpress bah easier to just reinstall.November 10, 2014 at 2:59 am #141501Hey guys,
Please see https://theme.co/x/member/kb/integrated-plugins-visual-composer/ for an explanation of how we use Visual Composer in X.
Thanks.
November 10, 2014 at 7:06 am #141638I know how you use it, Just wanted to know if there was a way that you could look into why Ultimate Addon’s was not showing the background overlay section. It would make life so much easier if I didnt have to edit every image in photoshop prior to uploading or edit the css everytime. Just an idea.
FAIRROD I am very careful with my site load and I use WP Engine to host my site. I have 1 – 2 second load times on all my sites you can see how I use Ultimate Add on here – http://www.onlinemastery.co.uk
If you need to check the performance of the plugin download https://wordpress.org/plugins/p3-profiler/ to test
November 10, 2014 at 8:38 am #141715Hi Steve,
We certainly appreciate the feedback! This is something we can add to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive. Thanks!
November 10, 2014 at 8:52 am #141728Alan, sorry to hear that you have been experiencing challenges. No one likes bugs
I know it won’t help but I’ve been using X and the Addon for a while now and quite extensively.
I’ve had a couple of hiccups but nothing drastic to stop me using the plugin.
Maybe its a conflict with another plugin, would be interesting to see how your site debugs ?
November 10, 2014 at 9:28 am #141754Thank you for the feedback and we hope we can help Alan out too. We look forward to introducing some new features in our next release real soon.
November 11, 2014 at 5:53 pm #142932Guys I can see that you have added this function to version 3.
I just want to extend my gratitude for taking action and listening to the comments. It is very appreciated to know that as a business I am backed by such a formidable force
November 12, 2014 at 5:45 am #143214Thank you for the kind words! We appreciate it a lot.
November 16, 2014 at 9:24 pm #146417Sorry for the bad news but its still buggy
I had not used this feature but had seen the tab so know that you did something. It seems that when setting an overlay nothing is output
November 17, 2014 at 6:44 am #146659Hey Steve,
Thanks for being one of our first users to really explore the image overlay. Can you be a bit more specific on the error that you’re getting? What steps are you going through? What behavior are you expecting to see? What behavior are you actually seeing?November 19, 2014 at 5:28 am #148348Sure and your welcome.
Its an amazing feature that you are adding. The main trouble is that everything seems ok.
I can access the tabs and customise the overlay, everything on the dashboard is perfect.
The real challenge comes when I try to preview or update my page, there are no changes. I have even looked at the source code and there is no css to the area I have changed. I am happy to give you admin access to look for yourself and play on my staging area if you would like
November 19, 2014 at 11:03 am #148565Yes please give us admin access so we can take a closer look. Thanks!
