    Hi X,

It seems that ubermnu conflicts with superfly. When installing both, the menu section in the backend gets super slow and clunky. I have tested this on several sites, all the same problem.

Maybe a fix in next update if this is a general problem?

    Thanks.

I tested some more. It is Superfly by itself that is causing problems. With Ubermenu deactivated the problems keep existing..

    Hey There,

    Thanks for writing in!

You can install both SuperFly and Ubermenu.

They should work fine when both of these plugins are active. Superfly can work along with UberMenu. The most common setup would be UberMenu in your navbar and SuperFly on the side.

If you are facing such issues, we might need login credentials to have a closer look of the situation.

    Thanks for understanding!

    Hope this helps.

I have the same issue. Both are installed and activated. When I go to the menu section to configure the sites to be displayed in the main menu the backend gets really slow and CPU usage goes through the roof.

Any ideas how to fix this?

    Hey There,

    Thank you for writing in!

We kindly ask that you open up a separate thread. The longer threads get in the forum, they become more difficult to support as they tend to drift off topic and they also make it troublesome for users trying to search for solutions.

    Thank you for understanding, Cheers!

    Hi there,

Are you on shared hosting? It’s perfectly working and it’s not slow.

Then I checked your site’s performance by install P3 plugin and here is the result,

    Advanced Metrics
    Total Load Time:	0.8449seconds avg.
    Site Load Time:	0.0001seconds avg.
    Profile Overhead:	0.8448seconds avg.
    Plugin Load Time:	0.8446seconds avg.
    Theme Load Time:	0.0000seconds avg.
    Core Load Time:	0.0001seconds avg.
    Margin of Error:	-0.8446seconds avg.
    (0.8449 observed, 1.6895 expected)
    Visits:	7
Number of PHP ticks:	5 calls avg.
    Memory Usage:	28.57 MB avg.
    MySQL Queries:	180 queries avg.

It loads at almost 1 second, and which is the same loading time when I navigate to your admin. Maybe you’re checking your site in its peak time if it’s on shared hosting?

    Thanks!

    Hi Rad,

As clarified in the first post, it’s not the loading time of the site that is the issue. It is the way both plugins making each other terrible slow in the backend.

Can you try to edit the menu items in the backend (ofcourse both plugins activated)? You will notice this problem..

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

Ah, I see, then it’s not the entire backend because I checked other sections and they are fast. It’s only specific to the menu section since SuperFly and Ubermenu execute javascript, and javascript runs on your browser/device. If your device can’t handle the javascript process, then it will freeze. In that case, disable the other menu plugin so you could use another one.

You have a long list of menu items, each one has SuperFly and Ubermenu attachment, the more the slower. It’s like having one slider, it runs fast, but as you add more on the same page, it will go slower. It’s the same as menu items, try reducing it just for testing and process load will get lower and will be faster.

    Thanks!

    Hi Rad,

Thanks for the explanation. Although I have several website’s running this set-up (also with fewer menu items) and still that slow. It’s true when I disable one of the two that it is normal again. But with live website’s its very unpleasant to disable a plugin (because people cannot navigate during the time I edit of-course).

This is the only (real) slow down problem I know in all the website set-ups I have. I hope there will be a solution in the future so that both work better besides each-other.

    Thanks!
