Hi,
Readers of my blog do not have the ability to check a “Notify me of followup comments via e-mail” as is (I believe) standard WordPress functionality.
Readers who post comments on my other blogs can check a box and then get notified when others reply to their comment.
Is there a way to turn this functionality on for my theme too?
I’m using the Renew stack.
Here’s an example: https://www.dnacademy.com/build-a-list-of-real-buyers#respond
Thank you in advance for your support!
March 22, 2017 at 10:08 am #1416317Hi There,
Thanks for posting in.
Please check this guide:https://en.support.wordpress.com/comment-notification-email/
By default, it is only the author or admin who can receive an email notification.
What you want to achieve needs a plugin. Please check this too:http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-notify-users-only-on-replies-to-their-wordpress-comments/Hope this helps.
March 23, 2017 at 12:22 am #1417223Hi Lely,
Thank you so much! That’s the plugin I use on my other site. I appreciate the nudge in the right direction.
After I installed the plugin, and went to settings and saved (just in case it needed it), I still don’t see the checkbox and option appearing.
Is there something else I need to do to get the plugin to appear in xtheme?
Thanks again!
Best,

You’re welcome!
We can check your settings. Unfortunately, we can’t promise a fixed since this is still a third party plugin. Please share your admin credentials on a private reply.March 23, 2017 at 3:09 pm #1418145This reply has been marked as private.March 24, 2017 at 1:21 am #1418672This reply has been marked as private.March 24, 2017 at 6:32 pm #1419630Thank you for your assistance.
