    Hi,

I’ve been using X-Theme for a while now and just wanted to clarify my understanding of what Stacks actually are (yes I’ve read all of the documentation). Are there any unique programming aspects to each stack other than the styling? In other words, could you take the Agency sub-theme and make it look like Integrity demo 1 if you wanted to or take Integrity Main Demo and make it look like Agency, or take any other X-theme demo theme and make it look like any other X-demo theme regardless of what Stack you use by just using the Customizer/Cornerstone and applying the same styling attributes? Or are there unique libraries or code specific to each stack that you couldn’t achieve the same look unless you actually switched to that demo theme’s specific Stack? Thank you for your help.

    Hey Joseph,

Thanks for writing in! Each of stack is unique in terms of styling and features. There are features that can only be found in a stack. For example, the post carousel or the post slider is only available to the Ethos stack. Other general features you may find available in the customizer, like the footer content widgets or the social icons can be added in all the stacks though it will differ how they are styled.

You can test this by having the Integrity demo content 1 and in the customizer you can try to change the stack. Noticed that you will have a slightly different look in the customizer preview area after switching to each stack.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you, that’s good to know. It would be super helpful if you guys had an overview one-pager of the specific features and styling that are unique to each stack. It would help us more easily choose which stack to use based on current and future customer requirements.

    Thanks,
    Joseph

    Hi Joseph,

We certainly appreciate the feedback! This is something we can add to our list of enhancemnt requests. This way it can be taken into consideration since for the moment we are still consolidating the contents of our knowledge base. We will be adding more about stack and video walkthroughs as well.

    Thanks!
