ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Please contact your webhost. Here is a form letter you may use:
Hello [provider], My WordPress installation is having a hard time making outbound HTTP requests. I’m using X theme and it makes a request to community.theme.co for setting up automatic updates. Here is the error message I’m receiving: [screenshot, or copy/paste the verbose error message (see above regarding the &x-verbose flag)] Could you please do the following? – Ensure my site can reach this domain: community.theme.co – Ensure cURL is working, and allow_url_fopen is enabled. – Ensure PHP is configured with the latest CA Root Certificates. Please advise on anything you discover. Thank you.Let us know how it goes.

DarshanaModeratorHi Andy,
Can you ask them to increase your
PHP Max Script Execute Timeto300and then try generating demo content. Most probably, this should resolve your issue.Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!January 30, 2017 at 8:11 am #1350741

FriechModeratorHi Andy,
I did go ahead added that file on the root directory and on the WP installation folder, but it seems has no effect. If you navigate to Dashboard > WP-ServerInfo under PHP Max Script Execute Time you’ll see that it still 30s.
Are you saying above that your host was not able to confirm the following?
- Ensure my site can reach this domain: community.theme.co and http://themeco-packages.s3.amazonaws.com – Ensure cURL is working, and allow_url_fopen is enabled. Please clarify. Thanks.

andymcgillParticipantHello,
Godaddy told me that it’s beyond their level of support.
I took the action of redirecting the nameservers to LCN and re-installed wordpress.
There’s obviously something that does not work between GoDaddy and X!
Thanks for all your help,
My issue is resolved for now 🙂
