I tried to update the theme from my WordPress dashboard and it said the server stopped receiving a response and now I see this on my site:

Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.

    How do I fix this?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! Can you give us some more specifics about which hosting provider you use and what plan? And the address of your site and the admin login would help us even more to figure this out as soon as possible. Thanks!

I’ve had my hosting company try and help and my back end guy as well and it seems like they’re all saying there’s an issue with how the 4.0.6 update is “packed?”

Basically when I choose to update the theme in the WordPress update page it IMMEDIATELY says it’s updated but it doesn’t go through the download, installing, activating theme sequence, it just immediately goes straight to the Congratulations your theme has been updated.

    Hi,

Upon checking, I can see you already have the latest version of the theme and cornerstone.

    Xtheme – http://screencast.com/t/IKK5Y5Pmy3
    Cornerstone – http://screencast.com/t/xhcUpdSVRE8V

It seems that the update was successfull.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

    Thanks

    Hello There,

We manage to remove the file that prevents you from logging in. By default, WordPress will generate a file that locks your site and display “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.” when you are updating a theme, plugin or WordPress core. When the update encounters an error, you will be locked out just like what happen.

Upon checking your site, you are still using an older version of X. Please make sure that you are up to date. Our latest versions are:
    X Theme: 4.0.6
    Cornerstone: 1.0.5
    Visual Composer: 4.6.1
    Revolution slider: 4.6.93

You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/x/member/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.

If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.

    Thank you.

Never mind, once again I’ve just learned that I need to update the theme to trigger the update of the cornerstone plugin.

    I should be good.
