RefereeParticipantHi, thanks a lot for the cool update of X theme!
I found some omissions in ‘translatability’ of the latest release.
Please have a look at the picture. Some of these elements exist in the translation file but probably have bad references. I do not know if you planed that templates names would be translatable as well as Add-ons descriptions because currently the are not in PO file.

ZeshanMemberHi Referee,
Thanks for writing in!
Yes, it seems those strings are missing in our translation file for Cornerstone. I’ll forward it to our development team.
Thank you!

RefereeParticipantCool, thanks but this is X Theme translation but not Cornerstone. In Cornerstone only some Element have bad references for translation (like Accordion, Author, Button, Blockquote and others).

RadModeratorHi there,
They are not translatable, and extension list and information are directly pulled from our server once it’s validated. It’s not something that comes with the theme.
Though, I’ll note that one π
Thanks!

RefereeParticipantLet’s clarify that we are on the same page. If we talk about Add-Ons info cards which you see when you click on Details links at X Theme Home page in Extensions section that is right that the information is pulled from your server directly so it is not translatable.
But in my previous message I was also mentioning that that element’s names in the ‘Elements’ section of Cornerstone edit page (https://goo.gl/Wtp3Xp) are only partially translatable (there are entries for all of them in the .PO file of the plugin but majority of them do not work).

Rue NelModeratorHello Again,
You’ve mentioned that “there are entries for all of them in the .PO file of the plugin but majority of them do not work”. I am assuming that you have already translated all the keywords in the .po file and still it is not working. Upon checking your site, it seems that using a caching plugin. I just do not know what plugin is that. I’d recommend that you clear your caching plugin first before testing your site, and/or disable it during development. This can cause Customizer changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.
Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

RefereeParticipantYes, I have translated all of them but majority do not work. I clean the cash every time I update any plugin, themes or make any changes. For posts and pages cash cleans up automatically. So this is not the case for those .PO strings not working.

RadModeratorHi there,
Ah, I thought you’re referring to X theme translation based from your screenshot. Your second screenshot is from cornerstone which the translation isn’t part of the theme. Would you would providing your translation files for cornerstone plugin (not x theme’s translation files). I like to test it on my installation.
Thanks!

RefereeParticipantYou can see comments in this thread for both X Theme (in the beginning) and then for Cornerstone. I guess you can see that based on pictures proveded.
X Theme file (https://cloud.mail.ru/public/bFQo/nHEAHBkUL) and Cornerstone file (https://cloud.mail.ru/public/GGge/UvVuyRMox).

RadModeratorHi Referee,
Thanks and sorry for the confusion. If you’re referring to the first screenshot (X theme), they are not translatable, or maybe not yet translatable. We noted that π
About the cornerstone translation, thanks for providing the file. Yes, the translation strings exist though I can’t test it yet, would you mind providing PO files as well? They are just MO files. I more happy to get to the bottom of this, though it’s easier if I can test it directly.
Thanks!

RefereeParticipantX Theme files (https://cloud.mail.ru/public/4D5v/sWGoAPZsx) and Cornerstone files (https://cloud.mail.ru/public/Gunh/Qg8LkEoFz).
Just once again the strings you can see here in X Theme (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_v8woiy7ZFfQ0tTZEJaNVlTUzA/view) can be translatable except add-ons descriptions marked-up in red rectangle right? This is not Cornerstone.

RefereeParticipantAnd a few more remarks to Cornerstone backend translation (https://goo.gl/ExnrUI).
April 11, 2016 at 8:56 pm #877471
RadModeratorHi there,
Yes, the ones on the screenshot aren’t from cornerstone if X theme is active. Some aren’t translatable yet, you can check them here
\wp-content\themes\x\framework\functions\global\admin\addons\markup\page-home-box-automatic-updates.php
\wp-content\themes\x\framework\functions\global\admin\addons\setup.phpSome are translatable, but not yet translated
\wp-content\themes\x\framework\functions\global\admin\addons\markup\page-home-box-approved-plugins.php
\wp-content\themes\x\framework\functions\global\admin\addons\markup\page-home-box-extensions.phpThen demo and extension information aren’t translatable since they are pulled from our server directly.
The string that you can only translate is “
Home“, and “Once installed, you can activate or deactivate each Extension on the <a href="' . admin_url( 'plugins.php' ) . '">Plugins</a> page.” (that’s for X theme).I checked your translation file and it only contains this,
Once installed, each can be activated or deactivated on the <a href="and this
It should be like this (replace the correct URL based from your domain),
Once installed, you can activate or deactivate each Extension on the <a href="http://domain.com/wp-admin/plugins.php">Plugins</a> page.and
ΠΠΎΡΠ»Π΅ ΡΡΡΠ°Π½ΠΎΠ²ΠΊΠΈ ΠΊΠ°ΠΆΠ΄ΡΠΉ ΠΏΠ»Π°Π³ΠΈΠ½ ΠΌΠΎΠΆΠ΅Ρ Π±ΡΡΡ Π°ΠΊΡΠΈΠ²ΠΈΡΠΎΠ²Π°Π½ ΠΈΠ»ΠΈ ΠΎΡΠΊΠ»ΡΡΠ΅Π½ <a href="http://domain.com/wp-admin/plugins.php">ΠΠ»Π°Π³ΠΈΠ½Ρ</a> ΡΡΡΠ°Π½ΠΈΡΠ°I tried your translation files and seems to be working from my end. Translation issue might be specific to your setup or setting, would you mind providing both admin and FTP login credentials in private reply?
Thanks!

RefereeParticipantHi, thanks for fixing some strings in the X 4.4.2. Have a look at the updated picture (https://goo.gl/ee2Z0I).
April 14, 2016 at 4:45 am #881874
JackKeymasterHi there,
Thanks for writing back, I’ve checked the translation and that string is translatable, it’s almost exactly the same code as the add-ons/extensions message, just with different wording.
I’ve checked the .pot file and it’s there as well, the translation seems to be working well for me, can you try re-generating your .mo and .po file? If it still doesn’t work, can you post some wp-admin and FTP details in a private reply please, so we can take a closer look at what’s happening on your install.
Thanks! π
