Hi,
I wish to transfer the license code and ability to login to this support forum to my client…
Is there any way of unlinking that license code from my account so that it can be used for them to create an account?
Many thanks.
January 13, 2015 at 10:39 am #182093Hey Jon,
If you give me your purchase code and if possible related Themeco license I can remove the license from your account and your client can register with it. Just let me know the code and don’t forget to set your reply to private.

the client will have to generate a new API key on his account and verify the purchase. I’ve removed your purchase code so he is now able to register his license.
Hope that helps.
January 15, 2015 at 1:17 pm #183865Will it matter that the purchase code isn’t linked to his Envato account?
January 16, 2015 at 5:35 am #184311Hey There,
No that does not matter.

I’ve removed the license from your account. You now can add the license with your purchase code from themeforest on your other “AnBeeToSee” account.
January 17, 2015 at 2:28 pm #185180This is what is being returned when trying to verify the code:
“That username is not valid for this item purchase code. Please make sure you entered the correct username (case sensitive).”
So it seems that the Envato username is being checked, and the re-allocation won’t work…
I foresee that the only way around it is going to be for him to purchase the theme himself using his own Envato account and then reimburse him.
January 17, 2015 at 5:27 pm #185282Hey Jon,
We can’t change the envato username of the purchase code since this is a fixed value set by envato when buying the copy of the theme. However you only need this nickname and purchase code to add a themeco license to any account so your client can register an own theme.co account with a different username & email and use your username and purchase code to add one themeco license to his account. From there on he won’t need your envato username nor the envato purchase code any longer. It’s only required for the initial setup.
April 14, 2015 at 1:52 pm #249573Hi All,
I too need to transfer ownership of X-Theme to a client. Based on the above posts I believe I understand how it works and I can set up a new Themeco and/or Envato account for the client, but would you be so kind as to provide a list of steps to ensure that I don’t miss anything?
I will post the required info as a private reply below.
TIA!
