Morning
I am having two issues which I think are related. The title on my home page is refusing to show, as is the active link decoration when on that page (in the main nav manu).
Site: http://www.aurna.co.uk
My settings are:
Front page displays –Your latest posts
A static page (select below) – ActiveFront page: -Select-
Posts page: HomeBlog pages show at most 4 posts.
I think have the actual Page titled Home with a Revolution Slider set to below the Masthead, and I have checked that there is no tick in the Disable Page Tile box. It’s also set to “Layout – Content Left, Sidebar Right”.
If I look at the page http://www.aurna.co.uk/home the nav menu link is active and there is a title.
What I want to be able to do, is have blog posts on the main page, with the slider below the Masthead. One column on the right hand side of the page (for wigdets/text boxes) the page title showing and the active home page link showing in the nav menu.
I have checked the forums and not found anyone with this particular issue and I can’t seem to resolve it on my own. Help would be much appreciated! Login can be provided.
Thanks!

Thanks for writing in! Based on your setting, for the menu item “Home” to be set as active (when you are on the homepage), You have to go to WP Admin > Appearance > Menu and edit your primary menu. Remove the current menu item “Home”. And then create a custom link with URL => ” / “ (without spaces and quotes) and Link Text => “Home” (without quotes)
See screenshotLet us know if that helps! If you still have other questions about the theme, we are more than happy to provide you with assistance.
Thanks

Could you try this setting:
Admin > Settings > Reading > Front page displays > Your latest posts
Then set your site title ang tagline at Admin > Settings > General.

I just found out that if you will use your blog as homepage, there will be no post object to pickup this title. Same on my setup, not working. What I confirmed is, I’m getting page title because of SEO yoast plugin that automatically add these meta. Could you try that too?
Thank you.
June 23, 2014 at 4:09 pm #60154Hi there
Sorry to say I have no idea what SEO Yoast is. Do I need to get a plugin to show the title then?
Thanks for the reply.
MelJune 24, 2014 at 6:12 pm #60637Hi there,
Yes Mel, you could just add new plugins in admin, and search for this : https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/ and https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/
Thanks.
