Hi, I’m experiencing a theme and woocommerce bug. Basically, I’m using the product bundles plugin, and we have made some items within the bundles to be ‘out of stock’. I reached out to Woocommerce staff first, about the issue, and they did some testing – and they have determined that it is a discrepancy with the theme.

Can you please look into it?

The error shows up on some pages, and states:

Fatal error: Call to a member function is_type() on null in /home/dir/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-product-bundles/includes/class-wc-pb-display.php on line 572

I’m sending over the login information, as well as a copy of the full email thread from the Woocommerce staff, in a private reply.

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

    Thanks for posting in.

Would you mind providing your FTP login credentials as well? I can confirm that it works on other theme.

For the meantime, please try downgrading your Woocommerce to 2.6.9, it’s currently 2.6.14 and X theme recommended versions are on this page https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/

    Thanks!

    Hey there,

The issue is causing by a third party plugin. We can ensure the compatibility with WooCommerce but can’t guarantee about any third party extension. The error clearly coming from the plugin and we can’t help much on this as we don’t provide support for any third party plugin.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

The plugin developer tested out the site, and switched off X Theme, which solved the problem. So they declared that the issue is being created by the Theme.

Please help! What am I supposed to do when the plugin dev blames you and you blame the plugin dev? There is obviously an issue with someone’s code!!!!

And the plugin tested it with a regular theme and everything worked….they said it is due to overrides in the theme.

Please help! I buy themes from you all the time, and plan to continue in the future, and I’ve always been ecstatic with the support, but so far, not now 🙁

    Hi there,

It’s because of the customization you added to your child theme’s /framework/views/icon/wp-page.php

    You added this line

    <?php do_action( 'woocommerce_before_single_product' ); ?>

You’re calling a filter to non-woocommerce page, hence, triggering the error.

Switching theme also disables the customization, hence, it will work. Please remove that line.

    Thanks!

    Thank you!!

I’m not sure who added that line. Is that line even doing anything? 😉

    Thanks!!!!!!!!

    Hi There,

    You’re welcome!
It depends if you will hook a function for woocommerce_before_single_product action hook.

  • <script> jQuery(function($){ $("#no-reply-1386297 .bbp-template-notice, .bbp-no-topic .bbp-template-notice").removeClass('bbp-template-notice'); }); </script>
