kisschickenParticipantI created our site using X-Theme on our staging site. When I switched over to production, the site license didn’t carry over so I can’t do automatic updates. How do I fix this? Website is https://pristine.io/

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! For the time being, you will have to revoke your staging site to validate your live site. However in near future you may get this as a feature to validate both your live and staging environments.
Thanks!

kisschickenParticipantOk, I just want to make sure I’m understanding correctly.
You’re saying I can go to my staging site and revoke the license, then go to the production site and validate it using the same license code?
Doing the above will allow me to perform automatic updates on the production site yet won’t compromise the functionality of the staging site. Is this correct?

John EzraMemberHi there,
Thanks for updating the thread! Yes that is correct. You just need the site validated for automation features and and unlocking the the extensions. If you are just working with one staging site and one live site, depending on how frequently you need to revoke and reassign the license, it may not be that inconvenient. Some of our users who lots of licenses with us may find it a bit more difficult to do that process. Some of them purchase extra licenses they use on staging sites. After all once the project is done, you can always use the license of the staging site on another project.
It all just depends on your workflow. It shouldn’t hinder any functionality except for automatic updates.
Hope this helps – thanks!

kisschickenParticipantOk, so I revoked the license for our staging site but now I can’t generate a new API for the production site. What do I do?

ChristianModeratorHey there,
Can you give us a screenshot of the error? Or better yet, a video recording.
Thanks.
