    Hello,

    Not sure if you can help with this plugin issue, or not;

    But, the sorting option “random” doesn’t work. It simply sorts via ascending or descending.

    I tried to contact support for the plugin, who suggested “session” was not enabled on the server. I have, however, confirmed session is indeed enabled and configured correctly.

    So, I’ll take any help at all, as I really want the grid to sort randomly. Also, I note that the version supplied by “X” is an older one. Do you guys have a later version I could possibly try?

    *shrug. Any help would be wonderful.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi There,

    Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password
    – FTP credentials

    Don’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

    Please note that we can check your settings although we can’t promise a fix since this is still a third party plugin. For updates, please check this link:https://community.theme.co/kb/integrated-plugins-the-grid/

    Release Cycles – While we try to include the latest version of The Grid with each release, occasionally the release cycle of the plugin will prevent this from being possible. Essentially, since we have no idea when The Grid will be releasing new versions of the plugin, we cannot plan our releases around this. Because of this, if we have already begun the process of finalizing our release and submitting it to ThemeForest for review while The Grid is putting out a new version of the plugin, that version of the plugin will not be able to make it into the theme until the next release at the earliest. Thank you for understanding.

    Hello There,

    I can confirm that the random order of the grid plugin is not working. I will be forwarding this issue to the creators of the plugin for them to take a closer and and perhaps provide a patch for this issue. Please bear with us.

    Thank you.

    Okay. That’s good to know, at least.

    Will this thread be updated when you hear a response?

    Thanks again for the wonderful support.

    To add to this thread;

    The Grid doesn’t always load. By that, I mean it just sits with the “Ajax loading icon” (In my case, a PacMan).

    It’s intermittent, and annoying. A “refresh” generally fixes the problem, and it loads fine.

    This happens on all pages.

    The usual load time is 1 second or so when it “loads fine”.

    I’ve tried disabling various plugins, mucked with caching (even turn server caching off). Still persists.

    Can you please assist?

    Thanks kindly.

    Hi there,

    I checked multiple times and it loads just fine. Since we’re expecting random sorting, I think it’s best to disable Caching and Minifying plugin. That will cache the same content, hence, even if the random filtering works then it will still display the same content.

    Thanks!
