ggoudeyParticipantI am trying to get an understanding about the Grid. On my site there are twenty categories that are reflected in the menu under ‘Categories’, and the front page will feature a reference to all categories, one way or another, by text and or images. I have gone through the Grid documentation by I am not clear on the possibilities on linking to a grid.
Can text be designated as a link to a grid? Can an image? And what about the submenu items in the menu?February 18, 2017 at 8:14 pm #1376664

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! The categories in the Grid plugin when you create a grid is used as a filter. This will be helpful if your grid displays several grid items and the category filter will display items related to the given category. This can not be modified. Doing so will require plugin modifications which is outside the scope of our support.
Thank you for your understanding.

ggoudeyParticipantOK Thanx. I did some experimenting and I think I can see how to make it work for my situation. Most of my grid items will be posts. One thing that I have noticed is that there is no excerpt of text from the post, even though it is enabled in the customizer. Does the Grid settings have something to do with this?

RupokMemberHi there,
It should be controlled through the grid. Kindly follow the guide and documentation – https://community.theme.co/kb/integrated-plugins-the-grid/
Official documentation – http://theme-one.com/docs/the-grid/
Hope this helps.

ggoudeyParticipantThankyou, I’ve spent a few days going through everything. I’ve found the Grid skin that I like, but it is having issues. See my new post ‘Grid Issues’
