michaelpeniloParticipantHi,
I’ve just started using the Grid that comes as an included add-on. I activated it and created a new grid. When I go to the media tab and attempt to select the post formats I wish to have, no tick boxes appear at all and only images seem to be allowed to be added to the grid when i choose media library as my source. I really need to have the videos appear as well.
I tried different settings combinations but to no avail.
Is this a preconceived restriction made by x? Or is there something I missed? I have scoured the forum and have not found any clues. Please help me.

michaelpeniloParticipantAll righty, I found the problem. But I think it’s good to have it posted as feedback for the tech team though.
The Grid has browser compatibility issues.
All settings work on Chrome and Firefox. They do NOT, however, work on Safari.Only the theme and add-on developers will know where the issue lies.
Regards and thank you for your time regardless.

michaelpeniloParticipantThank you for the reply.
I have thoroughly reviewed that document.
Just to clarify. I wish to have a media gallery where images AND videos are displayed, without the need for posts. Is this just not possible to do?
As far as I can work it out, I need to create either a post or portfolio and then add these as source to the grid.
I was hoping there would be a simpler more direct solution to be able to add add videos as well as the images. The option to directly add images form “Media Gallery” is there, but it only seems to allow images and nothing else. “Media Gallery” is thus very misleading if that’s the case. It should be “Image Gallery”.I hope I’m making sense here. I just want to have it all clear before setting up the grids I need so I don’t needlessly do a big workaround if there is a simpler method.
Many Kind Regards and thanks for your attention.

Paul RModeratorHi,
The simplest way is to use blockgrid element in cornerstone.
Here is an example using shortcodes
Hope that helps

michaelpeniloParticipantThanks for the response.
I noticed from other threads that there is a way to add mouse over effects to the block grid. Is there a list of commands somewhere we can use for inserting different effects? Or does it all have to be done by code?
Thank you.

LelyModeratorHi There,
Please clarify what kind of mouse effects you want to achieve. On block grids, it is possible with some custom CSS.

michaelpeniloParticipantOk thank you. I would like to have a hover effect that causes a darker parallax effect on the thumbnail. If that is not possible, then a hover that zooms in a bit on the thumbnail and darkens it slightly.

Paul RModeratorHi,
Please set-up your blockgrid first then we can provide you with some css codes to achieve your hover effect.
Thanks

michaelpeniloParticipantHi,
I’m about to set up the block grid but have one issue. Maybe you can help me.
I want the portfolio pages (4 of them) to display the grid, and then be able to filter that grid accordingly. At the moment the page would show the image for each item, id click on the item and the grid would display. I’d like to bypass the thumbnails for the portfolio items and show the contents instead. Is this possible? If not then I wont be able to use the portfolio.
Thank you for your time and assistance.

ChristianModeratorHey there,
Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You might want to contact our trusted partners who caters X setup and customization needs. Please see https://community.theme.co/custom-development/. Thanks for understanding. Take care!
