Hello,

I have an ordering issue and I hope you would be able to help me out here.

I am using the Grid with Media Library, which I am trying to order ascending by Title. The tiles of the images follow the following naming convention:

A1 – description
A2 – description
A3 – description and so on up to A40

The problem is the plugin orders them weirdly placing A10 after A1.
I have tried placing the “A” after the number, but the same issue occurs.

Would you please take a look and suggest a solution? I will need the images ordered following the A1, A2, A3..etc structure.

Hey there,

I see you’re using the Justified type. Please try using the Grid. The Justified type positions grids based on their width and not by post order.

Hey Christian,

Thank you for looking into my issue.

I have tried switching the layout from justified to grid but:

1. It did not make the ordering any different (the order by setting is the same)

2. I will need to use the justified layout because I will have other grids (“Groupa-B”, “Grupa-C” … , etc) which will have some wider images displayed and that is the layout I need.

Is there anything else I can do so I can manually say which image comes first, second, third, etc..?

Sorry for the confusion. Please use A01 then A02 and so on instead of A1, A2

Hey Christian,

Thank you for the suggestion that!
It does work in regards to the ordering feature of the Grid, and for now, I am going to use that.

However, the name of the image which I am using to sort the grid and to display information about the image using the skin I chose would need to be exactly what a section of the law for transportation and traffic signalling is of the particular sign. I have to double check with the client if A01 makes a difference to A1 in that matter.

Just in a case that I will need to roll back the name to A1 instead of A01, what are my other options for manual ordering?

Just to update this thread, I have found a way to accomplish what I need.

I have used the order by slug (post name) and manually changed the names of the image files I am using.
