hi!

The setup for The Grid is pretty straightforward but the display results don’t match up with the settings. I have tried to setup a grid that displays posts from a certain category on my homepage, instead one post is displayed with 2 Instagram pictures that come from a different Grid.

My Instagram Grid displays 4 pictures from the # I’ve selected but it’s 2 photos duplicated, not the 4 photos with the tag.

I’m running latest WordPress, X Theme and plugins.

Please help! the Instagram feature is really useful to have! if it works I have other sites I’d love to use it on.

Hello There,

I have check your instagram account, https://www.instagram.com/bluestackdigital/. I wanted to check your hashtags. As soon as you insert a #hashtag like #bluestack_merit360 it will display images from your instagram with the said hastag. In the event that you would like to add another hashtag (hashtag 2), please make sure that you are trying to display images with no similar hashtag or else it will display duplicate images. Multiple hashtag option should be added only when they were applied to a different images. This is how the process of getting the images in Instagram is done. This might also needs a little improvement which I will have to raise to the developers of this plugin.

Hi,

I know The Grid is a 3rd party plugin but it shouldn’t be packaged along with X if basic features you can find in other plugins don’t work.

I love the options with the Grid, the different posts you can display with just a single plugin but…

On most other Instagram plugins you can select one # to display just those images with that #. I’ve used them on other sites and they work fine. Since your message I have added the Grid to another site I manage (no cache and not on Cloudflare) and I still have the same problem and more (see pictures attached). Seems to get worse the more #’s I add. I don’t have time for the developer to sort this out which really sucks as I’m about to develop another X site with Instagram as a key part of the content. I won’t be using the Grid again…

Ok….so upon deleting the plugin and reinstalling it I tried the Instagram display option again but without the username, just the # and it worked…if I add the username back in it loads all the photos for that feed and duplicates all the photos for the # used.

It’s a bit of a strange glitch…I’m just glad it now works and I dont have to pay for another 3rd party plugin!
