ShleezyParticipantHi there,
I have a problem on my homepage: http://www.3dhit.de
There are two columns with an Image and text. They fade in from right and left. On first glance – this is how I want it to look, but when i scale my browser window to a smaller size: text and image start to overlap at some point.
Is there any way to fix this issue.
Thank you for your time.April 11, 2016 at 1:08 pm #876919
ShleezyParticipantHi I have inserted and tried out the “responsive text” command.
It sort of works now-but when I add more text or lower its position
it still would overlap the image when scaling the browser-window.
Now-it works only because the text area is quite small.
Is there any solution to this?April 11, 2016 at 8:49 pm #877456
ChristianModeratorHey there,
You have a Gap element with a size of -20% (see attachment). Please make it -14% (see http://i.imgur.com/EhSxrVe.gifv).
Hope that helps. 🙂

ShleezyParticipantThank you for your reply,
Yeah-as I said-it works in that position but what if I would like the text to be right next to the image while fullscreen. When I scale the browser down the image overlaps the text almost entirely. I quess another workaround solution would be to save the .png image with the text together-but-not really cool.I have got another issue on the Images part on http://www.3dhit.de
How can I distribute the Images evenly. Right now there is no gap on left and right side at all and the gaps in the middle are too wide.
Could you assist me with this?
Thanks in advance.April 12, 2016 at 12:03 pm #878632
RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

ShleezyParticipantAlright,
Issue 1:
“Home” when you scroll down you will see a bike. While in fullscreen, it shows fine-the way I want it but when I scale the browser window down the text gets covered by the bike image.Issue 2:
“Images” I would like to have also a small vertical gap on the right and left side so the gaps in the middle do not appear so wide.Thank you

ShleezyParticipantHi guys,
thanks for your response and trying to help me.#1: I have copied the “bike” column and pasted it below so we have a comparison.
(There are two bike columns now: The one on the bottom got changed by your code)
I have then pasted your code into the text editor window.Unfortunately nothing changed
#2: I have attached some screenshots. It might clarify what I would like to achieve.
April 13, 2016 at 5:29 am #879735
ShleezyParticipantjust to add to #1: the only small change which I now notice is that the text is on top of the bike vs behind it. I wish that the text and bike do not cover each other at all when the browser is scaled down.
ThanksApril 13, 2016 at 10:20 am #880212
JackKeymasterHi there!
Thanks for writing back.
#1, can you go into Cornerstone, click the text and then add a custom class to the text, we can then use this for styling. It can be above or below the bike on smaller screens, which would you prefer?
#2, try adding this custom css:
.page-id-6919 .x-content-band { margin-left: 50px; margin-right: 50px; }Thank you!

ShleezyParticipantHi Jack,
#2 works perfect now. thanks!#1 I have never used cornerstone. does it come with x-theme? Do I have it installed?
Sorry for being such a newbie. Thanks
April 13, 2016 at 7:45 pm #881175
ChristianModeratorCornerstone is a new page builder and in X, it replaced X Shortcodes. You will need to install it if you’ll update X since version compatibility is critical. Before you update, please backup your site. Please see the instructions on updating at https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/
Thanks.
