    Hi there. I’ve recently installed X Theme and, apart from editing main menu items, have only made modifications through the customiser – to things like fonts sizes/weights, logo, colour scheme. I have not added or changed any CSS or Javascript code.

    I may now wish to start adding custom code, so should (presumably) install your Child Theme. Should that be OK without affecting my content and customiser modifications mentioned above? Can I install and accurately preview the Child Theme without activating it? In other words, can I test it before I’m fully committed to it?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in! As long as you haven’t change any X theme template files directly, you can safely install a child theme.
