    Hello,

    I adore X Theme. It’s gorgeous, and responsive, and it’s going to make my site redesign and relaunch a stellar event.

    I am using Ethos in a staging environment.

    I would like to suppress all TOC information from appearing in search results, as indicated in the attachment.

    Can you assist?

    And… since the first request isn’t showing up…

    I would also like to have the search results page title be dynamic.

    So when it says “SEARCH RESULTS” as the page title, I want it to display “SEARCH RESULTS: <searchinput>” (without < and >)

    Is that possible?

    And to have those search results display in white?

    Hello Ivan,

    Thanks for writing in! By default, WordPress will automatically generate excerpts from the first 55 words in your post/page. If you are using TOC, most likely that TOC will be in the excerpts. You can make use of the manual excerpts instead. Excerpts are optional hand-crafted summaries of your content that can be used in your theme. Learn more about manual excerpts.

    For the page title, yes it is very much possible. What stack are your using so that we can pin point which of the file you can modify?

    Lastly, what do you mean by “And to have those search results display in white?”

    Hi Rue,

    Three screen shots attached.

    DTM_tech_1.JPG = entering the search

    DTM_tech_2.JPG = current results

    DTM_tech_3.JPG = what I would LIKE to see in the title bar…

    The manual excerpt process sounds like what I need. But I can’t seem to find where this gets entered? I was looking for a text field for it somewhere in the visual editor and the quick edit – neither have it.

    Is there a shortcode for this?

    The WP link you provided wasn’t much help for understanding how to do it.

    Thanks for updating in! To insert the manual excerpts, please edit your post and find the “Screen Options” in the post editing screen and check the “Excerpts”. Please check out the image below:

    To change the title in the search title, please tell us first what stack are you using? It is Integrity, Icon, Renew or Ethos?

    Also:

    I have a specific sidebar widget that I want to use a different font color on, and even mix up font colors within that widget.

    What’s the best way to do that?
