Thank you. Is this something that needs to be done periodically? Would I be better off disabling that cache plugin?
Thanks for the help!
March 2, 2017 at 1:45 am #1391521Hey Jack,
Thanks for updating in! We’re just glad it works out for you. Always clear your site cache and plugin cache every time you update WordPress, a theme or any plugins. Even if you edit a post/page, you also need to clear the cache too! Caching helps in faster page loading. Disabling would mean that the post/page will be loaded from server every time the use view a post/page thus a lot slower.
Hope this helps.
March 2, 2017 at 9:05 am #1391931Thank you Rue. I just noticed that several of the sites pages still look broken on mobile… it seems like they work fine after purging the cache but then they go back (to being broken) after a while… this only happens on mobile.
Can you please help us fix this?

Thanks for writing back!
Would you mind providing us with a Screenshot of it? It will be helpful for us to take a closer look of the issue.
Thanks for understanding.

Please clear all your browser cache too, or use the private browser like incognito. Server cache are passed down to browsers too, purging it from the server side doesn’t mean your browser caches are purged too.
Thanks!
March 3, 2017 at 3:10 pm #1393762Thank you. Some site pages also look broken on a private browser. They look fine after purging the cache on the plugin… but they go back to looking bad after a while.
How can we fix this? What would you recommend? Thanks for the help!
March 4, 2017 at 12:51 am #1394161Hello There,
Thanks for writing in! Please deactivate your caching plugin. Please let it stay that way for several hours or days. This will ensure that CloudFlare will cache your site with the latest and not caching a cached version of all your pages. It would also be helpful if you only use CloudFlare or just a caching plugin to handle your site cache to avoid any of this issue. Having two or more caching mechanism in your site would be an overkill which may have been the cause of this issue.
Hope this helps.
March 4, 2017 at 12:10 pm #1394517Hello, thank you for your reply.
I went ahead and disabled the W3 Total Cache plugin… but I don’t use CloudFlare with this site. What did you mean by that?
How long would you recommend I leave that plugin deactivated?
Thanks for the help.
March 5, 2017 at 1:51 am #1394848Hi there,
I checked again and still the same, it’s working on iPad and iPhone, please try another device. What’s your browser version?
Thanks!
March 17, 2017 at 1:00 pm #1411290Thanks. All is working fine now across devices. The cache plugin has been inactive for a full week now. Is it best that I leave that way?
Best regards!
March 17, 2017 at 4:15 pm #1411478Hi,
I personally don´t use cache plugins on my websites and do not miss them 🙂 If you would like to have a cache plugin on that is fine, I would just reccomend turning it off while editing your website.
Hope it helps
Joao
