themaxParticipantHi
I have a site set up with x-theme which is customised with a child theme. The site is a busy ecommerce site. The business is branching out to cover an additional product base but this site/area will be managed by a separate division of the company and they will manage their own content and orders. I have set up a sub domain for medical. and will probably move the current site to an additional sub domain for vets. and set up a main landing page on the www. site where the visitor can choose vets or medical.
I have been reading through your support posts with reference to the x-theme licence. As I understand it as the sub domain is just a division of the company and main domain, I don’t need to purchase an additional licence, is that correct?
I have done a new install of wordpress onto the sub domain and installed all the same plugins etc however I am not sure if I should have switched the site over to a wordpress multisite instead of installing wordpress again as even though I have copied over the plugins and themes from the main site, it looks like i need to go through the customiser and manually replicate the settings, as I want the look of the to be exactly the same. Is there a way of copying over the customiser settings? Or should I have switched the live site to be a wordpress multisite? would this have meant that the customised settings would automatically be set up on the sub domain sites?

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! Please keep in mind that we strictly follow the one license policy which means that you can use one license per WP installation. Though you can validate 2 sites with one license at a time assuming that the sites is the live site and your staging site. Whether it is a sub domain, you will still need to validate X in order do automatic updates in your installation. If you do not have enough license, you can simply revoke and re assign the license to be able to validate sites or sub domains one at a time.
By the way, if you want to replicate one site setting to another, you can simply import the customizer settings. All you have to do is go to X Addons > Customizer Manager and download the XCS file. You can import this file in the new site you’d like to have the same setting as your other site.
Hope this helps.

themaxParticipantThanks for your quick reply and help on this!
I have done the export/import on the customizer which worked great, thank you. Is there a way to export/import a visual composer template?
