this site is so slow the report shows 39 of 100 when doing a google speed test, I have installed a few plugin to get the speed up to 69 of 100.
If I knew how bad this theme speed was I would of never spent the money, the days and hours to setup a website.
So what plugins are going to fix this big problem?September 28, 2016 at 11:55 am #1194229Hi there,
X is one of the best optimized theme out there and people building super fast sites with that. If you head over to the Facebook user group and ask for people’s feedback they will show you their sites I believe.
However if you provide your URL then we can test from our end and let you know the causes of bad performance. It might be due to your plugins, image size or server as well.
Thanks!

http://www.arroyotransportation.com/
now the slider wont come up and in the cornerstone the sliders shows up and so does the google map at the bottom right of the page. and the background is not coming up.
I have spent over 10 hours trying to make this theme work.
What can be done to fix all this crap?October 3, 2016 at 4:39 pm #1201068HI there,
There are a few JS erros in the console when I checked your site. This might be cause by a plugin conflict. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
In case this doesn’t fix it, would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentialsDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

Thank you for the credentials.
See attached screenshot of the errors on the console.
Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined
Scripts always run in a sequential order.
So basically the site is using jQuery even before the jQuery library is loaded. Can you try disabling async javascript plugin? Then clear cache and check again.
Hope this helps.
October 4, 2016 at 9:51 am #1202050So, just did what you said, and the web site still is not displaying the slider and the map image.
So I guess you have more steps for me?October 4, 2016 at 1:40 pm #1202366Hi there,
I can still see lot of JS errors – http://prntscr.com/cptp9t
It seems you are using “Autoptimize” that might breaking the scripts. Note that X already serves the minified version of stylesheets and scripts, so you don’t need to optimize them again and eventually it will break if get over minified. Kindly disable the plugins you are using for caching and optimizing and try again.
Thanks!
October 4, 2016 at 1:54 pm #1202396ok did this, and the slider still is not showing and the map images shows but when you scroll up and then back down it is gone?
I guess we are getting closer, whats next?
October 5, 2016 at 12:16 am #1202969Hi There,
Try going to Revslider > Global Settings > Insert JavaScript Into Footer: Set this to ON. Always clear cache before checking again.
For the MAP, I saw this error:
js?v=3:94 You have included the Google Maps API multiple times on this page. This may cause unexpected errors.
Google MAPS API are loaded by the theme already. Ubermenu is loading this too. We can disable this on Ubermenu Control Panel > General Settings Tab > Assets Tab > Load Google Maps API: Unchecked this option.Hope this helps.
October 5, 2016 at 1:11 am #1202996ok so this did not help much, but now on an android, iphone7 and seamonkey web browser the website comes up blank white page.
and still no map image or slider. So things are not getting better. Whats next?October 5, 2016 at 1:23 am #1203001looks like I have got it working(thx u), but only after deactivating all the plugins to help with speed. So now the speed is down to 70/100 on mobile, desktop down to 87 / 100.
You say this is a fast loading theme I hope now you can tell me how to make that a true statement.October 5, 2016 at 3:04 am #1203063Hi there,
Certainly it’s a fast loading theme and it’s proved for so long with thousands of websites built by our customers. There are still something depends on the user to keep it fast. As you have disabled the plugin and got it faster, that means you had some plugin which made it slower. Not all the plugins make the website slow but certainly there are lot of such plugins.
Next thing would be optimizing your assets. I have tested your site with https://tools.pingdom.com and found that your page size is 4.6MB which is way high for a standard website. See the result – http://prntscr.com/cq0tvt
Your images are around 3.20MB which is the primary cause of your site performance. So there is nothing to do with the theme but you need to optimize your images. You can use http://compressor.io/ to optimize your images without loosing quality.
I hope this explains better and hopefully you will understand the facts.
Cheers!
October 5, 2016 at 12:20 pm #1203724the speed is not faster, it is 70 of 100, that is slow.
October 5, 2016 at 12:22 pm #1203725the slider images are under 1mb, so not sure what you are talking about on image size.
