BoansParticipantHey you all. I have Open Graph enabled and a backup image selected and it works great for posts, but there are just a few actual ‘pages’ that obviously don’t have a featured image and even though the page is just text with one image in it, Facebook just defaults to the backup image (which is just a logo).
I would like to be able to tag that important image somehow to let the social networks know to use it but I would prefer not to install yet another plugin to do this.
Is there some type of code that I can wrap an image in on a page to better communicate that it should be the image to share?

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating in! If you want to change the default image which you have set in the customizer, you will need to add a featured image for that page. The featured image will override the default open graph image setting. You can then test your page in the Facebook debugger here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.claymaze.com%2Fthe-forgotten-milestone%2F
You might need to scrape the content again to make sure that the latest changes will be fetch by Facebook Debugger.
Hope this helps.

BoansParticipantThanks a bunch, I never thought to just use the featured image anyway on a regular page.
I have one quick question though. It appears as though the featured image does not show on the page (which is good) but I’d like to know why so that I can make sure that I can continue to set featured images without them displaying.
Does adding sections in Cornerstone remove the display of the featured image or does X-Theme just defaultly not display them on pages?

JadeModeratorHi there,
That is correct, if you use Cornerstone to edit a page the featured image will not be displayed as you will be building the entire content of the page but if you will use the native WordPress page creator, the featured image will be displayed.
Hope this helps.
