I have read elsewhere in the forum that it is possible to swap out a Social Sharing option for one that isn’t available in the list. How would I go about swapping out Reddit for Tumblr? If I’m mistaken – is it possible to and how do I add Tumblr as an option on Social Sharing?
June 12, 2015 at 1:33 am #299723Hi,
Tumblr is already available.

Can you confirm that you are fully updated? (Theme and Plugins)
You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/x/member/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.
If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.
June 12, 2015 at 10:50 am #300097Three of our plugins still require updating, one of which is “WordPress Social Sharing Optimization (WPSSO)”
Is this the plugin which we need to update in order to be able to include Tumblr in our social share?
I ask because we don’t currently have this plugin activated, I believe this is because when activated there is a notice that it might conflict with “WordPress SEO.”
June 13, 2015 at 12:09 am #300547Hi There,
We are only referring to X theme and the X-shortcode plugins which is now taking over by the Cornerstone. To enable the Tumblr social link. Navigate to Appearance > Customize. Then on the Customizer look on the Social tab you would see an Tumblr Profile URL field.
Thanks!
June 16, 2015 at 1:12 pm #303813Okay, I’ve done what you’ve suggested but I don’t see the addition of a tumblr icon to social share row. I was able to add Pinterest and Tumblr to row of button which link to SAFE’s various social media, this is lower down on the homepage, but I did that by adding in HTML code.
What I am referring to is the “social sharing” element, which can be found just under the DONATE button on the homepage. (http://savingantiquities.org) How do I add a tumblr icon and link, that when clicked allows a visitor to reblog on to tumblr? Like how the links that already there make it possible to retweet or pin the information on that webpage.
June 16, 2015 at 5:21 pm #304126Hi There,
Regretfully, Tumblr is not part of the Social sharing shortcode. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.
Thanks for understanding.
