    Hey I have a shortcode for some social media icons, which work perfectly, however I was wondering if I can add anything to the shortcode so that they would open up in a new window.

    You will use like this:

    <a href="www.facebook.com"> [icon type=”facebook”] </a>

    Hey sorry but the code that you gave me is what I already use, however like I said, the issue is that the social icons opens in the same tab when I want them to open up in a new tab.

    Any other ideas on how I could achieve this?

    Just add a target="_blank" property to your current code.
