Thank you for the advice. I will try resizing the images as you suggest.

October 14, 2014 at 5:50 am #124801Hi there,
I have done as you suggested with the images on my home page, not yet on the rest of the site, but I am still experiencing slow load time. This seems to be caused by Ajax admin and font-awesome as well as a long wait time on the website itself. Is there anything I can do to improve this? I have also noticed that my Be-Inspired-Domini-web image is loading faster than my newly “saved for web” images that are now less than 200kb while the Be-Inspired-Domini-web image is just over 400kb. Do you know why this should be? I was using the Photoshop save for web option for the other images rather than the WP-Smush it which I have now de-installed. Does this not have the same effect?
October 14, 2014 at 10:34 am #125027It seems to be loading quite quickly for me. The other thing you can do is check into caching resources. This will allow your site to load more quickly for any follow up visit from a user. It is not recommended to have on while in development but as long as you are done with development you should be set to go.
August 11, 2015 at 6:07 am #355909Hi,
I’m having trouble with the loading time of images and slider on my website too. Do you know what could be causing this and what I can do about it? Especially the background image on the ‘About Us’ page & the revolution slider and product images on the ‘What We Do’ page.August 11, 2015 at 6:10 am #355915Hi,
Please refer to the link below for your guide on how to improve your site performance.
