    Hi,

    My slider revolution plugin is out of date and it is not allowing me to edit it correctly. When i click the link to update the plugin it fails with this message:

    Download failed. Peer’s Certificate issuer is not recognized.

    Please send me the updated zip or let me know how to get around it.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in! You can install the plugin manually. In the main X Theme folder that you downloaded from Theme Forest, you can locate the “revslider.zip” file under (“X/framework/plugins/“). Then unzip the plugin file and use a FTP Client software (FileZilla Client) to upload it into your server (“ROOT/wp-content/plugins/”) folder.

    Once you have uploaded it into the server, login to your WordPress back-end and head over to the Plugins -> Installed plugins to activate the plugin.

    I know that I can install the plugin manually but I just installed X recently so shouldn’t the plugin that is included should be the latest? Do I have to re-download X to get a new zip?

    Hello There,

    Sorry if you have issues in updating the Revolution Slider.

    When you have your X theme validated, it will prompt you that an update is available if there is one. When installing X, it doesn’t automatically install Revolution Slider. You have to install it though X Addons > Extensions. If doing the updates will not work, there must be a file permissions needed or the api keys doesn’t work thus needs proper product validation.

    the slider that i am having problems with is slider 5. Though the other ones have had issues as well

    Hi Nick,

    Upon checking, I can see you are using a different version of visual composer and revolution slider.

    Please note that plugins needs to be installed separately.

    You need to update these two plugins with the version that goes with your theme. Plugins files are located within your theme at x/framework/plugins.

    Please make sure you have these versions

    X theme v 3.2.2
    Revslider Version 4.6.5
    Visual Composer Version 4.3.5
    X shortcodes Version 3.0.4
