    When I click on the Slider Rev Plugin on the left dashboard menu it tell me I have v5.3.1.5 and there is a new version available. v5.4.1.e There is a BLUE “Update Now” button. When I click this button it eventually takes me to the page Dashboard > Updates where the plugin IS NOT listed on the list of available plugin updates.

    On the Plugin page itself – Slider Revolution does not have an update link.

    How do I update the plugin?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in! You can install the plugin manually. In the main X Theme folder that you downloaded from Theme Forest, you can locate the “revslider.zip” file under (“X/framework/plugins/“). Then unzip the plugin file and use a FTP Client software (FileZilla Client) to upload it into your server (“ROOT/wp-content/plugins/”) folder.

    Once you have uploaded it into the server, login to your WordPress back-end and head over to the Plugins -> Installed plugins to activate the plugin.

    So in order to UPDATE the plugin I have to deactivate and uninstall the old one.
    Upload the new one to the plugin folder
    Reactivate it the Dashboard > Plugins page.

    Will my sliders be safe?

    Hi there,

    Just remove the older folder from wp-content/plugins/ and upload new one. Your data will be safe.
